The same arithmetic scales with the line. A 10-9 line narrows the gap: a dehado backer risking ₱900 wins ₱1,000, and a llamado backer risking ₱1,000 wins ₱900 — a smaller edge either way than 10-8 offers.

Even money removes the gap entirely: both sides risk ₱1,000 to win ₱1,000, which signals the two roosters are rated as close to equally matched as the crowd is willing to call.

Meron And Wala: The Two Betting Sides

Problem: a bettor assumes the whole pool gets paid out between the meron and wala sides, with nothing held back. Fix: expect the cockpit to take its own cut as the plasada before matched bets are settled.
